French Front national (FN) leader, Marine Le Pen, and Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV), leader Gert Wilders, announced their parties will join forces in light of next May’s European elections. The two far right parties wish to merge as the European Alliance for Freedom party, backed by five other European right wing and populist parties: Italian North League, Swedish democrats, Belgian Vlaams Belang, Slovakian SNS and Austrian FPÖ, who already agreed to support the project.[Read More…]
